Our hotel

Our house is the result of a dream, made with great effort and love.
 It is geographically located in the village of Alaro, about 25 kilometers from the capital, in the foothills of the beautiful Serra de Tramuntana. Alaro, is a town with an amazing history, with ancestors who fought to defend the fort and led to the construction of the beautiful Castell de Alaro. It was a village of shoemakers, where in the '50s shoemaking craftsmanship flourished.

 The weather is benign, with mild winters and summers, where you feel slightly north wind breeze that cools the air.
The points of connection with the capital are good, it has a good bus and train service in the nearby village of Consell. The motor way , allows easy access to the capital in about 15 minutes.

The house where the hotel is located dates from the 1900 and it was the home of a local family of shoemakers who gradually prospered and joined two houses that now make our hotel. The external and internal construction represents the architecture of the area , with window shutters, terracotta floors and wooden beams. The house, due to its own configuration, has a good temperature in both winter and summer.



Our name

The name of our house - CA'S PREBE - means pepper in Mallorcan language, the meaning can be used as the Mallorcan does not distinguish between the vegetable and the spice in the form of writing. 

The family of the hotel owner were called as a nickname CA'S PREBE, because they cultivated pepper to make it into what is known as paprika. We want to pay tribute to the owner`s mother, giving this name to the hotel. 
Each of the rooms has a name related to the different varieties of Pepper, except the suite which also has a personal meaning.

Lounges

The house has two rooms, the main hall or concert hall. It is interesting the placement of the wooden beams on the ceiling,due to the spaciousness of the room. It is prepared with comfortable sofas, ideal for a drink or for gathering, it also has a piano, with which we will enjoy concerts of classical music or jazz.

WINTER LOUNGE

This room has a beautiful fireplace in sandstone - natural Majorcan stone -, it will heat the room in the winter evenings. Here we have located the small dining room and living room-in a more informal way than the main lounge.

READING ROOM

It is a small lounge area , which leads directly into the garden and we wanted to make it a reading area where our guests can find books, magazines and newspapers.

Garden

Undoubtedly, when the visitor gets into our house does not expects this wonderful garden with its plants, fruit trees, pond and fountain included.It also has a terrace where our clients can have breakfast in winter ,or dinner in summer in this beautiful place.

Pool

No doubt indispensable for summer days. A large pool is located at one end of the garden. We have placed hammocks and lounge chairs as well as some sofas that allow the visitor to enjoy the surroundings of the house.

Special Features of the hotel

Our house is designed for relax and rest so we thought that one way to facilitate this is to not have television or telephones in the rooms. Is conceived as a non-smoking hotel. We have access for disabled people. There is no reception as such , being the visitor attended personally by our staff.
